The New England Patriots lost the battle and the war on Sunday. That battle, a demoralizing loss to the New York Jets , was difficult enough to endure. It always stings a little extra losing to New York, especially when they’re led by Rex Ryan .

So much for an undefeated season. The New England Patriots coughed up another halftime lead to the New York Jets, allowing Mark Sanchez to drop bombs (294 yards, three touchdowns) while Tom Brady laid an egg (two interceptions, lost fumble in second half).

Prior to the New England Patriots matchup against the New York Jets, I wrote up 10 keys to success for the Patriots. One thing I overlooked: the Patriots needed to show up for both halves. The first half ended with New England up 14-10, and although the lead was slight, it was a solid showing.
There is the quick update of the day.

Bad decisions by Tom Brady may have cost the New England Patriots the game against the New York Jets but make no mistake that, although a quarterback may take a majority of the blame, the loss was a team effort. It’s impossible to point out one thing that the Patriots should have done differently because usually when a team loses, it’s a few factors that work against them. But here are some …

At half-time of Sundays game against the New York Jets , Tom Brady and the New England Patriots looked every bit like the high-octane offense that many thought they would be after an impressive showing against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1. But the Jets defense dropped a bomb on the Patriots in the second half, and it was the Jets offense that dominated with its aerial strike.
What are your opinions.

The New England Patriots came out on fire in their opening week victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Now they have a chance to send a statement to the rest of the AFC East, being that the division runs through them and to be the champions you have to beat the champions.

When the New England Patriots head to the Meadowlands to face the New York Jets in week two, there are sure to be some fireworks. It’d be fairly easy to list Moss, Brady, Sanchez, and Revis as the determining factors of the outcome and leave it at that. If you give it some thought, it’s far from true, though, because those are all players (with the probable exception of Sanchez) from whom you …
